Comments:
An early Ekstrom Carlson pin router. Instead of a belt, the spindle is driven by a friction disk made from linen phenolic.

Spindle speeds of 10,000 and 20,000 RPM. 3HP.

Manufacture date assumed to be around 1930 based on name transition from Redin Ekstrom and patent application and issue dates for the friction drive.

The stroke with the foot pedal is 4". The throat clearance is 24", spindle to C-frame casting. The table is 24"x36" and it has a maximum working distance, from table to spindle, of 9". That would put it in between the 156 and the 327.
