This Craftsman motor came with a Delta 14" band saw. Went through it, rewired, added a switch that was missing. Runs quiet but has a strange symptom that I have never come across before, no matter how it is wired (black to black-white to white or white to black-black to white) it will run either in CW or CCW on start up. Turn it off then turn it back on it will run the opposite way that it ran before. If anyone has an answer for this please let me know. I rewired it exactly as it had been wired which appeared to be original and don't know if it had this symptom before. Plan I putting this motor on a restored Craftsman 103.0305 13.5" drill press.
