This motor came with a Shopmaster model CS-100 TS I recently picked up; not sure of the age. It is an AO Smith - Sawyer Division, AO Smith Corp motor Mfg in Los Angeles CA. rated at 1/2hp,115/230v, 1725rpm, Type C12B, model 1556A, Service No. B-5, single phase continuous duty. I'll have to clean up the plate some to get the correct serial number. Though AO Smith is reported as Milwaukee WI this is tagged as Los Angeles CA. Smith had aquired Sawyer Electric Mfg Co, a Mfg of electric motors, in 1940. Great shape.
