I purchased this jointer from a local seller on ebay a few years ago and just recently found a cast iron base to replace the 70's closed stand that it was mounted on. The jointer has the original paint and the base looks like it was repainted using a brush once in the past. The brush job was well done but is a little tired. No rust to speak of so maybe in 5 to 10 years I may repaint.
