I bought this Hubbard planer at auction in Weathersfield, Vermont in September, 2013. Made in Keene, New Hampshire, it was purchased about fifty miles from where it was made, perhaps in 1895. The machine was set up for use in a hobby sawmill operation and had an eight hp electric start snow blower engine to drive it and is especially interesting it is very similar to a same size Charles Buss and Son early 1870's planer (made only five miles or so away, in Marlboro, NH) that I traded for a few years ago.
