This 20 inch Babbitt bearing two knife jointer was made in the period between 1916 and 1925 or so. I purchased it in September, 2013, at an industrial auction in eastern Vermont, The previous owner had used in a hobby sawmilling business, used it outside (hence the gasoline engine set up to power the machine) but the machine is, apparently and surprisingly, in nice condition (the Babbitt was re-poured recently and this appears to be a nice job, also the reservoirs when bought had good oil in them), though the bed is both oily and rusty. I believe, however, that the machine has its original paint. Attending the auction was the fellow who traded it to the previous owner, ie the owner previous to the previous owner, with whom I had a nice chat.

This is the second 20 inch jointer I've owned. I probably don't need this as a working jointer.
