I got this saw from a friend that knew I liked old Delta tools. He helped me get a 1947 11 inch lathe and knew I'd like this one. Best I can tell, it is a late 30's model as there are no serial number plates on it. It had an old Montgomery Wards motor on a swing mount. Other than that, it was pretty much complete and in good condition, just dirty. The original paint was stained to tan. As usual, I couldn't wait to take it apart and work on restoration, so no before pictures exist. I mounted a spare Rockwell Homecraft 1/3 HP motor that I have to take the place of the Wards motor. It's a real smooth running saw with little vibration - probably because of the massive iron casting. I really didn't need a scroll saw, but I couldn't resist. Many thanks to Sal Garcia for helping me out with a lot of parts for the restoration.
