Comments:
I purchased this from a dealer in the Dallas area. It was a very original machine with a 3ph motor. I stripped it to the last bolt, sandblasted the sheet metal and castings, repainted all with urethane paint. I replaced the motor with a single phase, new bearings in all places that had them, new pullys and link belts, new magnetic starter and remote switches. I fabricated a new upper blade guide for the side of the blade with double ball bearing because the original casting was cracked. The lower door rim was cut off because the door was sagging and rubbing on the lower wheel. I rewelded a new rim and ground and sanded the door to be ready for the new paint. I repainted all the nameplates and polished the table. I think it was made after 1952 or whenever Rockwell bought Delta, but it still has the Crescent name on the nameplate, so it is not much newer than that.
