This saw had been for sale on CL for at least a week at a very attractive price. The claim was that the saw works great, but that the motor overheats. Finally, the PO listed the saw as free. I could not argue with that price. My gut feeling is that the Westinghouse 1/6HP motor that came with the saw is older than he saw itself.
The plastic pulley cover speaks to the suggested corporate cost cutting at that time at Delta.
