The history of this saw is unknown. I bought it from a private owner who got it as payment for services rendered to a local manufacturer. An A.R. Williams name plate seems to be screwed or welded to the base casting (hard to tell). No serial # or any other marks so far. Will update if any are present after stripping. The table is in two separate pieces now which were damaged and soldered in a previous move.No guard was present. The lower babitt assembly was replaced with bearings at some point. All pieces seem to be present including some type of counter weight that was assemble on the saw when bought. All in all, in rough shape but with good restoration potential. This saw will become a scroll saw but without any permanent alterations.
