This bench grinder was bought off a local buy and sell site. It took some time to acquire as the seller lived some distance away and a trip just to see it was not viable. Eventually some 6 weeks later on a visit to Durban, I contacted the seller who said it was still available. I duly bought it. Note that this bench grinder is Made in England but was informed by Joe Potter that it is equivalent to a USA Model 587. Some notes are shown. Virtually complete the original spark guards are missing as are the rubber feet. The last photo shows the peculiar centrifugal "switch" which is part of the main shaft. This switch cuts off and reconnects the capacitor when running and starting.
