This is part of a collection of Vintage Machinery located in an old water powered grist mill in Lewis County. NY.
The mill operated as a feed mill until the 1970's. Most if not all of the mills drive system still exists in excellent condition.
The previous owner, acquired this collection and filled one floor of the mill wall to wall.
Everything appears to be in excellent condition and immediately operable.
The property, water rights, buildings and the mill with its contents were purchased by its current owner Ross Phelps.
It is with his permission that this and many other pieces of equipment are posted.
This is one of two shingle cutters owned.
The cutting saw is mounted horizontally.
The "table" is pivoted on an extended arm.
There is a rack and pinion operated clamp to hold the piece.
Two rails of different heights, establish a preset angle when you clamp the piece in.
The table is pushed (Pivoted) thru the blade.
