This is a Clausing model 1810 drill press. When this was made Clausing was a Division of Atlas Press Company. I purchased this drill press from an industrial clearing house in Georgia. The price was just too low to pass up at the time but like all things that are too good to be true I found that the bearings in the head were going bad, and the main spur gear which is on the horizontal shaft that moves the spindle up and down had a broken tooth. But, bearings and paint stripper are cheap and I machined a new horizontal shaft with the spur gear on it. She runs beautifully now and I am very pleased with it. I will not add much more detail here about the machine since this site has sales brochures and owners manuals for this model.
