I had been looking for one of these for a long while. Finally got one close to home, in very good condition. Will need new bearings on knife holder and on motor, as well as new springs for pressure bar, a good clean up with soap and that will be it... no new paint since it is clean and solid and very little rust on the base. The motor is a 3HP Wagner motor... a huge beast by my standard and it definitely weighs a ton... like the planer! No plastic on this one, just very thick cast iron. All in all, small footprint but large capacity. Don't see this one bogging down.
