I have a pair of AA lathes. In the bottom photo you can see both of them, with this lathe sitting in back of its "little" brother. The top photo is this lathe still sitting in the back of our mini-van on the day I picked it up. With machines of this mass, always be sure that your vehicle is up to the load, and that you use good body mechanics when you lift the machine out of your vehicle.

It is interesting to compare this lathe to the other one: this lathe has longer legs, a different (and slightly longer) bed design, and the head and tail stock have no open area in the center of the casting frames. I'm making an educated guess that this lathe is the newer of the two . . . it just looks like a little more polished of a product.

There are casting numbers on the various parts. Those marked (?) are ones where the number is a little hard to read. I'll double check on the actual lathe and update this later with any corrections.
205 - banjo
204 - tool rest
___ - tail stock (?)
202 - head stock
201 - bed
2088 - handle on tailstock (?)
