I saw this in a listing for a local auction and I drove out to see it and get pictures. It is a LeBlond No. 2 universal tool grinder, I believe. I did not realize that we did not already have any of these in the archives when I took the pictures, otherwise I would have taken measurements and perhaps taken a few more detailed pictures. It was a very large machine. I would guess that it weighed around 800 lbs or more. The bed looked three to 4 feet wide and the whole machine was probably close to 5 feet tall. It was massive. What is more impressive is that the fellow who owned it had brought it down a very steep and narrow flight of stairs into his basement, along with a full size Logan lathe and a large Bridgeport mill. This grinder sold for about $400, I think.
