I just brought home this unique old bandsaw yesterday. A nearby friend had received it a few years ago from an elderly neighbor that had gone into a nursing home. He didn't know any history on it. I have found no identifying marks in either the castings or elsewhere. There are some small holes where perhaps a badge may have been riveted on? The wheels appear to be of either red oak or hickory, rims and spokes, with a dried and cracked tire of what I think is rubber. The fence and blade guards are wood with brass knobs and fittings. It was converted to the electric motor in more recent years but there is an old chain type sprocket on the lower wheel. The saw does run although the wheels are just a bit warped and slightly out of round. All moving parts have been kept well lubed and move freely. Any thoughts or ideas on ID'ing this beast?
