A Couple weeks ago while picking up a cast iron table from my favorite scrap yard I spotted a glass bead cabinet with some other tools around it. I found a really nice Baldor grinder behind the blast cabinet. I already seen that the owner had already left. When I asked one of the employees about the stuff he said every thing gathered together was already sold so I did not pursue it any farther. A couple days later I was talking to the owner of the scrap yard about buying a couple tool cabinets and I brought up the other tools and the grinder. He told me that they were not sold but pulled aside to be put into an auction. The tool came out of a fad, welding shop that went out of business and he bought a lot of stuff from them. He did not remember the grinder and told me he would take a look at it and I could call him in a couple days. I was planning on going over to pick up one of the tool cabinets today so I called him yesterday about the grinder. First
thing He told Me was that it was a very nice tool and he would have to get good money for it.
Not knowing where it was going to go I ask him what good money was, he told me that he would have to get $250.00 for it. I told him that I would take it and pick it up today with my cabinet.
After looking at some prices of these grinders I am very happy with the priced I paid.
It is a Baldor 1216w 3 hp 3phase 12in grinder, I think 1989 but that's just a guess on my part.
