>>HISTORY<<
Purchased this used abrasive saw in 2008, at a machine and tool dealer in Westland Michigan.
The previous owner installed a wood cutting blade and destroyed the arbor and bearings.
Also, the feed handle grip was replaced with a wooden file handle.
Originally found with a Dayton ¾hp fan duty motor.
>>MACHINE<<
Kalamazoo Industries 7" abrasive saw.
This saw is an earlier version of the current (2013) K7B model.
Replaced the arbor assembly, bearings and length stop, with new parts from Kalamazoo Industries.
Installed a new 36" V-belt, changed the motor to a ¾hp-3450rpm Craftsman 115.19920 and added a bolt in the base for a carriage stop.
The switch is motor rated.
I like the feel of the file handle feed grip so it remains on the saw.
I washed and degreased all the parts, but didn't bother to restore the finish (I knew it was going to quickly become grubby).
The wheel is 1/16" non-reinforced and the saw cuts very well.
