this planer was aquired from the daviess county ky. vocational school. my father purchased it about 1976 for $300. it had the 3 phase motor on it, which i still have. it was removed to install a 2 phase, 9hp motor. i fabricated a idler to assist in cold temp (winter) starting. everything else is original and still in great workin order. i used this machine everyday. never been restored. without this machine, my wood shop would cease to exist. i buy the flat belt marerial to make my own feed drive belts to the proper length.
