Purchased this lathe a number of years ago from a gentlemen south of Rockford, IL, who had a rather eclectic taste in his collectibles. In addition to this lathe, he also owned the original Mayberry police car from the Andy Griffith Show.

I believe that he had purchased this lathe from the local high school which, he thought had been the original purchaser in the late 1960s. In any case, we came to an amicable financial arrangement, and he offered to have it delivered on the back of a flatbed wrecker.

The wrecker driver really knew his business, and was able to tilt the bed, and slide the lath right into my garage.

The tool rest and banjo were both missing, but my local hardware store was a Powermatic retailer, so they were able to order a new replacement from the guys in McMinnville. Later, I was able to add a 70s vintage banjo, as seen.

Sold to another OWWMer a few years back.
