i don't know much about these saws,,example, what it was used for primarily. my grandfather bought it aprox 1964. i have used this saw all my life since i was 7yrs of age, i am 45yrs of age (2013). i still use it heavily most everyday as you can tell by the pics. it has NEVER been "restored". it has just been maintained. i replaced the original guides with newer "carter" roller guides. i still have the originals. the guards were removed for the pics.

1870's bandsaw in it usefull glory, used everyday in my woodshop.

this is the backside of the top guide/arm, rear top wheel. it was originaly painted green with orange pinstriping around EVERY flange and curve. most visible here, but not vey well.
