Comments:
Picked this puppy up for cheap. Photos are pre-restoration or anything. Castings are in good shape. A heavy dude. It came with a beautiful home-made stand of angle iron with leg leveling bolts.
Ser. #3754. 5/8" in.shaft. Came with 7-3/4 in., 7 TPI blade. Sleeve bearing was dry with wicking that looked like carpet fiber. 3 to 2 prong plug adaptor, so it was a gas from the past. It seems incredible that this saw was fitted with a motor that said, "Warning thermally protected automatic reset. Motor will restart without warning after protection trips". Motor = Dayton Electric Manufacturing Company, Model #5K116X. ½ hp, 1725 rpm, capacitor-start. Thermally protected, automatic reset. Motor is mounted on three points only and is on a spring plate.
