I bought this machine near Chesterville Ontario in June 2011. I saw a photo on an auction sale bill and bid by telephone, then went the next day to collect it. There was a skid-steer loader on location, so we took the upper part off to transport it in an open trailer. It has been in two pieces ever since, until last winter when I rigged up a hoist in the shop and lifted the top half until I could slide the base under it. I have just completed the clean up and reassemble and tune up. It is not restored, but it works fine in every way and is in better shape than some other things in my shop, so further work is not a priority. There were no chisaels with it, and the only collett was too big for the chisels I had, so I had to get a smaller collett made at a local shop. It worked perfect.

There is no return spring, only this counterweight that raises as the chisel comes down.

I don't think the motor is original. It's a maker I had not heard of.
