This lathe was purchased on Craig's list in Buckeye, Arizona. It originally belonged to the seller's uncle who was an avid woodturner. The seller was moving and could not transport the lathe to the new location. The original owner fabricated a metal stand using angle iron and a galvanized C-channel for the tabletop. It is brutishly heavy and extremely sturdy. The lathe was in need of new bearings and a good refurbishment. Blending old with the new, I added a rebuilt 1hp Baldor 3phase motor and a Cutler-Hammer MVX9000 Variable Frequency Drive(VFD). The lathe runs smooth as silk and is a joy to use.
