Comments:
I picked this bandsaw up on Craig's List. The seller owned the saw for about 18 years and bought it at an estate sale from the original owner. As it turns out, the seller was the shop teacher at the high school that I attended in the mid-seventies. After retiring from teaching he became a contractor and lightly used this saw in his business. It has been in a basement shop since his purchase eighteen years ago. He is now retiring and selling his tools. It is one of the cleanest 'plug and play' vintage saws that I have come across. It is completely original with no missing parts, including the original stand, casters, and 'Powr Panl' switch. The seller replaced the wheel tires which was the only worn part. The saw shows no signs of any abuse or misuse. Paint is all original with a few minor scratches and rubs. The motor is a Packard and appears to be similar in vintage. A small General Hardware wire wheel grinder with it's own motor is mounted on the common stand. A nice piece to preserve for future generations.
