Craigslisted for $25 without motor. Lathe included drive center, tool rest and banjo, tailstock without center.

- Taper on both head and tail are Morse Taper 1 (MT1).
- Spindle threads are 3/4" x 16 tpi (standard threads).
- Banjo and tailrest are connected by 1/2 x 13 bolts from the bottom, nuts on top. Seems to be original hardware because they are square head nuts and they match.

My lathe has a step pulley with index holes, but there is no connection point for any indexing attachment on the head--I am thinking that the pulleys were there and it was simpler to put this one on than go and make a separate, less functional one. Decals were in good shape, including the one on the tool rest (but after a couple of hours of use it has since worn away). Machining on ways could have been better because there are some areas where the tailrest doesn't move smoothly. On tool rest, finish is almost rough cast iron except at the very edge, I had to file it smooth to make it more usable.
As I look at this lathe, an image comes to mind of someone who purchased it in the late 1930s, tried to use it once or twice and just couldn't get the hang of it or couldn't get past the couple of mechanical flaws (like rough castings) that it was expected the user would fix.
Currently running with 1/3 hp motor jury-rigged.
