Comments:
I purchased this saw from the Colorado School of Mines. They were clearing out some old machinery probably for OSHA reasons. This is a dual arbor Babbitt bearing slider table saw flat belt driven by a 5 HP Allis-Chalmers 3 PH motor. It came with two miters and the quadrant. Unfortunately, the original rack and pinion fence is long gone and they had a nice Biesemeyer fence and over guard installed. I'll never give up hope in finding the correct fence. I have/had a few Unisaws and always reading about how much more improved are the "big saws". Now I know... It is a beast. It came with 80 years of sawdust and grime. Also, it has a different logo without the "Lightning" moniker and an earlier serial number which leads me to believe it is a much earlier version.
