This shaper sat outside my uncle's shop for approx. 20 years. After 10 years of coaxing, he finally decided to part with it, and we loaded in my truck with the backhoe. Babbitt bearings were in surprisingly good shape, and with a good brush with a paint stripping wheel and a soak in Evaporust and a new paint job everything came out pretty well. Only one spindle is present, which seems to be a common problem. Also had a new spindle machined to replace the old one which had a slight bend.
