Comments:
I bought the machine from the family of a recently deceased member of our church. The unit had been altered somewhat, but all parts were present except the chip breaker. I've posted on the vintage forum, but it doesn't appear anyone has a spare lying around. Time to fabricate one I suppose. One nice thing about the unit is when all parts were disassembled, everything was stamped "Made in U.S.A." I took extra time to locate the original bearing manufacturer, such as Nice Bearings, and put to back together hopefully all U.S.A. (I just couldn't let myself buy China). I had a local motor shop replace the leads, and even disassembled all copper parts to soak in vinegar to restore the shine. It took about 3 months to complete, and I enjoyed every minute.
