Originally built for a company in Michigan, they sold it to a used dealer in Chicago who I bought it from. This machine has 4 main spindles at 12hp each and 2 piggy back or add on 7hp routers and 2 piggy back drill motors. The Q in the model name is for 4 heads. This design of multiple heads was common on the 1980's and 1990's machines of this class. Most were put to use in large factories where they took advantage of the ability to use all 4 heads at once and cut 4 parts at once. This machine is capable of using 1-4 heads at once in any combination. The piggyback routers and drills are ran independently of the mains, but can be ran together just like the mains. This is a single 5x8 table machine, they were available in any combo, even twin 5x8's. This machine is built heavily, it weighs in at app 24,000 lbs. It has a Fanuc OMC control and their red cap AC drive servos on it. Rapid is 1000 ipm, feed is 600 ipm, rpm is 18000. Slow by todays standards, but is still running after 21 years.
