Grinder was originally a line shaft machine, circa 1900 -1915. The line shaft pulley has been removed and replaced with a double B belt sheave. The grinder has also been converted from Babbitt bearings to pillow blocks. A large 1 HP motor set up for 220 volts drives the two 12“ wheels. Two wheel guards have been fabricated and a sheave guard has been installed for safety. A large heavy cast base makes this machine very sturdy. It has more than enough power to grind anything.
