Found this machine on Craigslist in September of 2006. A man was selling off his deceased Father's tools. He told me that his Father purchased the lathe new and used it one or two times. The lathe was dusty but otherwise in pristine condition. Included was the original stand and a complete set of lathe tools, still in the box. Variable speed is adjusted by moving the v-belt on two stepped pulleys. The machine came with a dead center on the tailstock. I upgraded to a ball-bearing live center. The machine is a pleasure to use as is. I plan to keep an eye out for a set of cast iron legs/stand to make the machine more stable. Special thanks to fellow OWWM member Gerald Buttigieg in South Africa who provided photos and valuable information regarding the lathe bed mounting mechanism for a Delta sanding table. I will post photos of the sanding table once I make the mounting mechanism and add it to the lathe.
