Previous owner gave me this saw as he said it was not running anymore. A 1/4 HP washing machine motor was attached to the motor mount and the power cord was so old the insulation crumbled when I flexed it.
The saw now has a 1 HP Leeson motor that unfortunately is not reversable. The original cover plate on the operator side of the saw was missing. This was replaced with a reproduction that I fabricated. The stand is an original "semi-metal" stand shown in the 1960 craftsman catalog. I have a 9" 60 tooth, thin kerf blade on order from Trade-A-Blade.
My woodworking shop is now equiped with tools all from the year 1960+/-
