Toro. Yes Toro. The lawnmower people. This was a Craigslist find. The machine appears mostly original except for the switch. The motor may also be an add-on but it's hard to tell since the motor was painted to match the drill press and shows no badge or other identification. The drill press runs smoothly and quietly. It is variable speed by means of two stepped pulleys. It was fitted with a Jacob's Multi-Craft 1/2" chuck with a 33JT taper mount. The chuck was in poor shape so I inquired of Jacob's for a replacement. That was weeks ago and I have yet to get a reply. In the mean time, I made an inquiry with Wholesale Tool Co. and they replied immediately. Their customer service is fantastic and I recommend them.

Note the household light switch and shop made mounting bracket. I'm waiting for a new chuck so the naked taper mount is visible.
