This lathe was auctioned off from the Indiana State Prison, (Michigan City, IN) in September of 2012. Sold for 200 dollars. Here is the ad copy:

-This auction is for a McDougall Lathe, model 581772. 440 Volts, 3 phase,7.5 hp, 100" x 38". This item may be missing some parts.- (Note measurements here are presumably the overall size of the machine.)

Two photos were included with the auction.

The first shows the front of the machine, obviously an intermediate model, possibly in the 16"-18" swing category. Somewhat hard to make out clear details but this is definitely a late era McDougall, possibly before the VDF takeover. (I.e. no VDF markings.)
