Found this several weeks past on CL. The PO was selling the building this was in and needed to have it removed. This had belonged to his father. The saw and motor are both in great shape. Casted into the front of the base is SJ-30. The 1933 Craftsman catalog identifies this as 99PM561.
The motor ID plate is beat up. Thanks to an illuminated magnifying glass I now have (I think)the correct numbers. Some are badly scratched. Model: appears to be S-3170, Mtr# J34, 110v, 1750rpm, 6amp, 1/3hp, Patent# 186465(4 or 9.) The last # is difficult to make out. Thanks to John Beckman who pointed out the model number should read "S" vs a "5" as I originally posted.
