this sawmill is one of the last in the area . there is another like it at Chippokes Plantation in Surry, Va. The sawmill was given to me on the passing of a friend Tommy Jones of Jarratt , Va. it is a unusual machine as it has a flywheel which weighs 700 lbs attached to the arbor enabling the blade to store energy .
