I bought this lathe at the "Air Works" auction in Kidron Ohio on Feb 23, 2013. The other bidder actually wanted another lathe parked right next to this one. We found out they came together and he offered this one to me. I took it.

this is the carriage assembly. the lever on the right is what engages the half nuts. lead screw is clearly visible and is approx 1 1/4" diameter.

As you can see this is a large lathe.Wood beams are 4X8 laninated beams I can barely lift the tail end, certainly not the head-end. Frame is bolted together with thru-bolts in several places, it does have some looseness, most likely from dry wood. The lat

Headstock,the round rods with the brace/guide across the spindle slides back and forthabout a foot. The part surrounding the spur appears to be for centering a cone shaped work piece.
