I found this machine buried at Cook Machine, Slickerville NJ. It was in a pile of sewing machines and dead Bridgeports.
It had been there long enough that no one knew where it came from. The color suggests it came from a NJ high school machine shop, but there is no proof. Amazingly it ran instantly. Note the art deco lines.
This is a Vernon, not a Sheldon. Sheldon bought Vernon in 1945. I did considerable searching in 2012 and could not find any other information about the company.Seems they never advertised. There are three flyers in the reprints section which I found and scanned.
