I'm submitting these pictures for the owner of the machine, Mr. John Rowe. He contacted me about it as I'm the VM steward for the Fox Machine Registry. This is the first Fox milling machine of which we're aware. It was Fox's biggest mill, with the smaller No. 2 and No. 3 being hand-feed units. Mr. Rowe reports that it's missing a couple of minor pieces, but nothing strategic. Originally driven by line shaft, it has been fitted with a Turner Uni-Drive equipped with a 1HP motor, and a large Victor vise. As the machine is marked as being made in Grand Rapids, MI, it pre-dates Fox's 1915 move to Jackson, MI.
