Aquired this off local craigslist add. PO used this in his shop builing historic reproduction windows and doors. He hadn't used this in 4 yrs as he switched over to lunchbox planers which he prefered due to the quality of cut - and thought it was worth buying a new one each year.
PO demonstrated machine condition, it purred, planed adequately, and appeared to be in excellent condition w/ no damage to castings, blades sharp, baering good, belts good, original color appears to have been pea green(?).
This is my first heavy iron planer (previous planers are Delta 37-402, and PM100) and comparatively this is a BEAST. My wife did ask me if I was worried somebody may help themselves to it when i left it in the back of my truck overnight in the driveway:)
