I went to take pictures of this machine because there did not seem to be any photo examples of the Walker Turner badged version of this saw on the VM site. A new home buyer purchased the property with this saw inside the garage. He had no idea about it, aside that the previous owner's long deceased husband had brought it home years ago but had never plugged it in. It was a 3 phase machine and there is no three phase power at the residence. When investigating the machine prior to my arrival the new owner discovered 5 large, empty bottles of vodka stashed inside the motor compartment. Perhaps the saw functioned peerfectly for his intended use.
This saw differs from my 1955 28-350 wood cutting version of this saw in several respects. The blade guides are different, the upper guide post is rectangular in cross section, there is a small, spring retractor device in teh upper wheel compartment for the heavy post, the wheel door hinges are not continuous as on my machine, and there doesn't seem to be a foot pedal break. Inside, the majority of the variable speed components have been removed, although the high / low speed function may still work.
