Comments:
This Wagner motor came with my newly aquired 1953 Delta Planer, Model 22-101. The PO said that he had taken this motor out of a vintage Parks planer to replace the 3 phase motor in the Delta when he purchased it used back in the 1990's. The Delta planer and Wagner motor were in need of some serious clean up but in perfect working condition.

I thought it might be helpful to other members to see the internals before diving into a motor resto. This 130 pound motor was one of the easiest overhauls I have done on a motor. There were no booby traps, tangled wiring or flying parts when dismantling it which I believe is rare. This motor is a 99% match to the manual uploaded on this site by Bob Holcombe in the Publication Reprints section for Wagner Electric under the title "Service Instructions for Smaller Repulsion-Start Motors" from 1942.
