Acquired from CL ad. Came with 1/4hp Westinghouse 1725rpm motor and stand, for $25. Looks like Luther grinder already on VM site. Can be used with flat or v-belt drive. Bronze bushings and oil cups. Left side wheel is 1" thick, rather coarse, right side is 7/8" thick, somewhat finer grit. Missing one of the tool rests, but the one with it seems to be interchangeable from side to side. [EDIT: Not interchangeable!] Tool rest is very thick casting. Wheel guards are also very thick castings, no sheet metal here! Overall size is about 10" wide and 7 1/2" tall. Little-to-no run-out on bushings, spins easily. Color is actually fire-engine red, but looks quite orangey in photos.
Update: I repainted the grinder, and added the right-side tool rest obtained from OWWMer KCDave. I just could not resist trimming her out in gold. I am very pleased with the results! My plan is to run the grinder from below, as was an original option on a lot of arbor grinders. Model number may not be P-500, could be a casting number. The guards have P-501 cast into them.
