Picked this up locally from a custom boat shop. They were cutting metal and plastic with this saw. Had a 1/2 hp 3 phase motor on it and
a large 12" size drive pulley on the saw. Has a custom wooden base that I plan to replace and I have a 3/4 hp WT motor single phase motor
installed now. I am using this in my shop for general/wood use presently. This saw has the older red Walker Turner badge and the infamous serial #22 639, which seem to be on many saws of this period. According to the section on serial numbers in the Walker Turner History this saw was probably manufactured in 1940.
I am not sure that I will keep this saw......I currently have 4 band saws......26" 16" 12" 10"....takes up alot of room.....one of the last three will have to go. This saw will restore nicely, but I am not sure that will happen if I decide to sell it.
