I acquired this machine from a private party who had bought it from Xerox. The machine ran and had been well cared for, but I felt it needed restoration before putting it to work in my shop. The saw has a 3 HP, 860 RPM Howell electric motor,a manual foot brake and came with Wright blade guides. The electrical start system was an outdated General Electric, which I replaced with a more modern Allen Bradley system. The band saw had been repainted at least once, and after a complete strip down, chose to repaint in a different color.
