I bought this WT RAS off of Craigslist for $125 in Pottstown, PA 3/09. It was owned by the father of the person I bought it from who was a woodworker and had it for 30 years in his basement. It did not come with the stand, but had a home built wooden stand. About two weeks later I bought another WT RAS from a defunk window factory that had their saw from the '40's. The second saw had a genuine cast base, and that was what I was looking for to combine with the other. The saw from the factory didn't have the original motor, had worn ways, bad bearings, ugly factory switch box, and no crank handle. I put it on Craigslist and sold it a week later for $125, minus the base.

The saw in the pictures was completely dismantled, wire wheeled, primed and repainted, motor was cleaned, new wiring, and new bearings put in the carriage housing that the ram slides on. The hardest thing with this restoration was getting the small pins out of the blue rotational scale plate. Also cleaning years of dirt off of the main badge and the switch plate was a bear. This process started 12/09 and finished 3/10.

The saw's motor had a unique off set shaft that was geared to increase the depth of cut through wood. The motor was OEM 1.5 hp, single phase and this saw came with a WT magnetic switch wired on the back side of the base.

When all was finished I realized that in order for me to use the saw I would have to cut out a section of the back of my garage to be able to handle the sliding ram, which travels about 20 plus inches behind the saw......somehow I completely missed that fact. I sold the saw 3/10 to some guy in North Jersey, who was so happy to get the saw for a $1000 he couldn't stop smiling.
