I found this machine while trolling Craigslist in December, 2012. Seller was a former contractor turned furniture maker. (I didn't think to gather further history on the machine. I'll try and call him back to do that and will update this listing.) I paid $450 (plus the gas to get there and back from Arkansas in my guzzler 1970 F100.)

Includes optional reverse switch. (Rather uncommon, as I understand it.)

It came with what seems to be a flat belt pulley mounted to the back end of the motor. Some suspect a sanding drum. Either way, the OWWM forum seems to agree that this is NOT a factory option, but a makeshift adaptation. I've seen one other drill press like this with such a modification.
