I am almost finished with my restoration after a little more that a year. I posted partially finished photos and history on March 22, 2012. Here are the basically finished project photos and I must say that the saw is a pleasure to use. Very accurate and true. All of the saw functions, hand cranks and slides are extremely smooth and easily operated. The highly modified and repainted Exaktor blade/dust guard is on Bosch Rexroth bearings & rails and can be positioned to line up, front or back, where ever the blade is located. The storage cabinet is also Bosch Rexroth extruded aluminum and hardware, as well as the movable roller out feed table. Once again, Thanks to Rich Fink of Eagle Machine as he was a huge help!! Remember, when you need Oliver parts, Rich has them or can make them. I am working on getting a longer front rail for the modified Vega fence to take advantage of the wide table/cabinet. It will rip 70" wide when complete. Lettering of the off/on switch and blade cover door will complete the project.(my wife said she would stain the walnut cabinet doors!)
